Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) and the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry will launch a pilot project to accompany animal products shipped from Russia to Belarus with digital veterinary certificates on 1 October, BelTA learned from the website of Rosselkhoznadzor. The parties reached the agreement in Moscow on 16 September. In the near future, Belarus will send Rosselkhoznadzor a list of products that will fall within the scope of the pilot project. “During the transition period, the parties will exchange e-certificates along with a paper veterinary certificate without security features,” the website reads. The parties agreed to sign a relevant roadmap next week. The roadmap will regulate the final stage of the integration of the Russian and Belarusian digital certification systems.
